In God Alone - Andersen

This hymn about trusting God as source of safety,  based on Psalm 61.

It was written by Australian Roman Catholic priest and liturgist Fr Frank Andersen MSC, and originally published in the Eagles Wings collection.  It is included in Scripture in Song - The Music of Frank Andersen MSC, which is still available.   Both of these publications include lead-sheet style sheet music.

The tune was written by Fr Andersen:  it has a 4/4 time signature, and in the key of A the first few notes are CDE F_EFG FE C_.

The hymn is quite different from one with the same title written by Bernadette Farrell, which is based on Revelations.

Chorus: In God alone can my spirit find rest; My help shall come from God alone. For He is my Rock and my salvation, My fortress on high, My lasting peace. 1 In God is my safety, My mountain secure. Come into His presence, And sing with me. 2 Take refuge in God, All nations come near. Lay your heart before Him, In constant hope. 3 Our Yahweh is Power. Such goodness I see, To know God is Wisdom! His praise I sing!
