Live in the Spirit (of Your Maker)

This hymn about trusting God and following Jesus was written by English Roman Catholic teacher Christine Byrne McCann.

It was first published in More Songs of the Spirit - Songs and Hymns of Renewal, Volume 2 by Kevin Mayhew Ltd in 1981.

It does not appear to have been recorded or published subsequently, and no sources of sheet music have been found.   Similarly, no recordings have been found, even on YouTube.

The song is set to an unnamed tune by McCann. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of C, the first few notes are E EE D D. E D C C7, and the chord for these bars are C G C.

The lyrics are copyright so cannot be reproduced here. But they are currently available on this Facebook post. A rough outline is:
Live in the Spirit of your maker
Follow the path that his Son has made.
Know that he will be with you always;
His love will never end.
Know that he will be with you always;
His love will never end.

1 Christ said, come and follow me and do not be afraid.
I will be beside you forever.
Find in me the strength you need to follow where I call.
Trust in my Father's love and trust in me.

2 He said, Come to me when burdened, come to me when in pain.
I shall give you strength and I shall heal you.
I shall be the fountain and source of life for you.
Trust in the Father's love and trust in me.

3 So do not fear the winding road on which you lose your way.
He said Seek and you will find me.
In all you say, in all you do, you'll find him very near.
Trust in the Father's love and trust in him.
