found acceptance in a wide range of churches and appears in many modern hymnals.
It has been covered by artists as diverse as Cliff Richard and Hillsong, and it
was placed 10th in a 2005 survey of the United Kingdom's favourite hymns
carried out by the BBC's
Songs of Praise
programme.

Lyrics
The lyrics are copyright so cannot be reproduced here. But they are currently available on the author's website. A rough outline is:1 Lord, the light of your love is shining
...Shine on me, shine on me.
Chorus:
Shine, Jesus, shine
Fill this land with the Father's glory
Blaze, Spirit, blaze
Set our hearts on fire
Flow, river, flow
Flood the nations with grace and mercy
Send forth your word
Lord, and let there be light
2 Lord, I come to your awesome presence...
3 As we gaze on your kingly brightness...
