This is a
hymn about Jesus as
healer.
It was written by American Lutheran composer and pastoral musician, Marty Haugen (b 1950) in 1986 and first published in 1987 by GIA Publications, Inc.
It was included in Haugen's 1987 album, Shepherd me O God. And it has been published in a wide range of hymnals, and used in the churches of many denominations.
It is set to a tune, also by Haugen, which is sometimes called HEALER OF OUR EVERY ILL. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of D, the first few notes of the melody are F D E F G G F_ with accompanying chords D Em G A D.

Lyrics
The lyrics are copyright so cannot be reproduced here. But they are currently available on this website (page 2) A rough outline is:Chorus:
Healer of our every ill, light of each tomorrow,
give us peace beyond our fear, and hope beyond our sorrow.
1 You who know our fears and sadness ...
2 In the pain and joy beholding ...
3 Give us strength to love each other ...
4 You who know each thought and feeling ...
