Mary our Mother (the Lord is with you)

This children's hymn about Mary was written by Patricia Hegarty (b 1966). It was commissioned by the Irish Episcopal Commission on Catechetics and first published in 1997.

It is based on the joyful mysteries of the Rosary.

It is one of very few songs from the Alive-O programme which is also included in the In Caelo hymn book - and the latter is the best source of sheet music for the song.

It is set to an unnamed tune, also by Hegarty. This has a 3/4 time signature. In the key of F, the first few notes are A F AG F GA FA G_.
