This Blessing Cup

This is a hymn about the Eucharistic.  It was written by Australian Roman Catholic priest and liturgist Fr Frank Andersen MSC.

It was originally published in the Eagles Wings collection, and so is now included in Scripture in Song - The Music of Frank Andersen MSC, which is still available.   Both of these publications include lead-sheet style sheet music.

The words are based on 1 Cor 10:16 and Psalm 115 - which is the psalm for the Mass on the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday.    Because of this, there are a number of other hymns with similar titles, usually starting "Our Blessing Cup".

The tune was written by Andersen:  it has a 4/4 time signature, and in the key of C the first few notes are G, C D E FGA G E.
