Canticle of Creation (As night gives birth to the dawn) - OBrien / Watts

This lyrical hymn of petition to the Holy Spirit, which is suitable for Pentecost, was first released in 1984, by Willow Publications (Sydney).

The tune was written by Australian Christian singer, song-writer, music editor / publisher (co-director of Willow Publications) and educator Patricia (Trish) Watts, and the words are by Australian writer and music publisher Monica O'Brien (early recordings credited "M McInerney" - likely to be the same person).

Sheet music is still available for purchase from As One Voice.

The tune is unnamed. In the key of G, the first few notes are D DD D_ E F G_.
