Jesus Rose of Sharon

This is a hymn about Jesus. It is apparently based on the Rose of Sharon image from the Song of Solomon (2:1), although scholars now suggest that the language used in that book does not actually refer to Christ.

The song was written by Ida A. Guirey (d early 1920s), and first published in 1922. These dates means that the song is now in the public Domain. It is usually sung to a tune composed by Charles H. Gabriel (1856 - 1932).
