Something Which is Known

This song for both Christmas and Easter was based on 1 John:1 - though it also contains other scriptural references. It was written by Gregory Norbet, and is today copyright to the monks of Weston Priory.

The tune is un-named. It has a 4/4 time signature and was originally published in the key of Ab, in which the first few notes are A A A A, A G F. Sheet music is currently available for free download (link below) from the Weston Priory website.

The song starts with a chorus (Alleluia, repeated 4 times) and this is sung after each of the verses. A rough outline is:
