Father I Thank You

This is a Trinity-based song of thanks.

It was written by Canadian evangelical convert and pastor Steve Stewart, in 1980.  It was included in Scripture in Song, Volume II, Songs of the Kingdom, published in New Zealand in 1981. At that time, it was listed as copyright Scripture in Song.

The song doesn't appear to have been recorded or published anywhere since then. But YouTube clearly shows that it is sung in a number of countries, and CCLI reports that it has been translated into Korean.

It is set to an unnamed tune, also by Stewaret. This has a 3/4 time signature. In the key of Eb, the first few notes are G B G F c_ FE G E_  with accompanying chords  Eb / Bb7 / Cm / G7.

Person with hands raised in prayer to God the fahter - symbolised by the risen sun. Light yellow clouds in the background, over fields.

The lyrics are copyright so cannot be reproduced here. But they are currently available on this website. A rough outline is:
1 Father I thank You for all that You've done, ...

2: Spirit of life, You are God's holy fire , you've kindled my heart with Your blaze ...

3 Jesus I need You as Lord of my life ...

See more ...

Father I thank You for all that You've done,
You gave Your Son freely for me;
And I praise You for calling me, drawing me near,
Out of blindness You caused me to see.

2: Spirit of life, You are God's holy fire,
You've kindled my heart with Your blaze;
And I know You're refining me, changing my life,
And by faith You're revealing Your ways.

3 Jesus I need You as Lord of my life,
I give all I have unto You;
Lord I want to come under Your heavenly hand
And to praise You in all that I do.
