I'm not Alone

This is a children's song about God's presence.   It echos John 16:32 "Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me."

The hymn was written by American at-the-time charismatic movement member and Fisherfolk lead singer, and later music-educator, Diane Davis (who became Diane Davis Andrew).

It was published in 1971 and/or 1975 by in the UK by Celebration / Kingsway's Thankyou Music.

It doesn't appear to have been included in any hymnals, but is in the Come Follow collection, published by Celebration Music and still in production:  MP3 files and a printed song-book are available for purchase from their website.

Lyrics

The lyrics are copyright so cannot be reproduced here. But they are currently available on this website. A rough outline is:
I'm not alone for my Father is with me,
With me wherever I go.
Speaking words of faith, of courage and of love,
He’s with me, He loves me, wherever I go.

Waking in the morning,
Getting ready for school,
Walking down the road;
In class, at work, or at play,
He’s with me, He loves me, wherever I go.

And when I find myself in a mess,
I can trust in Him;
Call on His name and watch Him move,
He’s with me, He loves me, wherever I go.

All of my life, everywhere that I go,
I will walk with Him;
Praising Him and blessing His name,
He’s with me, He loves me, wherever I go.
