With One Voice (Take the Word and go out to every land)

This hymn for missionary endeavours, which is sometimes used at the end of church services, was written by American-Filipino Roman Catholic priest, theologian, liturgical composer and member of the Paulist order, Ricky Manalo.

It was first published in 1998 and is dedicated to the music ministers of St Thomas Moore Newman Centre, in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
It is included in Manalo's "On this Day" collection.

The hymn is set to an unnamed tune, also by Manalo. This has a 2/2 time signature. In the key of Eb, the first few notes are E_ GF_ E DC with accompanying chords Eb / Bb / Ab.

1 Take the Word and go out to every land ...

Chorus:
With one voice we’ll pass the Word along;
with one voice bring justice to the world.
And with all the angels we’ll spread the goodness of God.
With all power and glory the Word of God shall reign.

2 Take the Word to our neighbourhoods and streets ...

3 Take the Word to the people in despair ...

4 Take the Word to the nations everywhere ...:

KEEP IN CASE ORIGINAL IS REMOVED, BUT DO NOT DISPLAY
Take the Word and go out to every land: shine the light of Christ for all to see!
May the lives of those we touch sing praise to God above. Let us sing, we’ll sing:

Chorus:
With one voice we’ll pass the Word along; with one voice bring justice to the world.
And with all the angels we’ll spread the goodness of God.
With all power and glory the Word of God shall reign.

2 Take the Word to our neighborhoods and streets:
shine the light of Christ for all to see!
Make we all set out to live in peace and harmony. They will see and sing: (

3 Take the Word to the people in despair; shine the light of Christ for all to see!
May our actions and our deeds bring comfort to their needs. And they’ll know and sing: (

4 Take the Word to the nations everywhere; shine the light of Christ for all to see!
May the witness of our lives transform the world anew. And we’ll shine, we’ll shine:
