He has Made me Glad (I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart)

This is a short praise chorus, expressing joy and gladness in God. It was inspired by Psalm 100.

It was written by American evangelical worship leader, poet and song-writer, Leona von Brethorst, née Bruce (1924-2010), and first published by Maranatha Music in 1976.

The song is set to an unnamed tune, also by Von Brethorst. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of D, the first few notes of the melody are DF AA_ A B_ BB BB B.

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart;
I will enter His courts with praise!
I will say this is the day that the Lord has made;
I will rejoice for He has made me glad!

He has made me glad! He has made me glad!
I will rejoice for He has made me glad!
I will rejoice for He has made me glad!
