It was written by Ed (Edward?) Baggett and released in 1974, 1975 by Celebration. Specific details about Ed Barrett have not been confirmed: He was one of the singers on the The Fisherfolk's 1980 recording, Cry Hosanna - so is probably not hymn-writer George Edward “Eddie” Baggett (1928-2013).
Some editors have added the first verse of "Praise God from whom all Blessings
Flow" - Thomas Ken, (1637-1711) - as a third verse.

Lyrics
The lyrics are copyright so cannot be reproduced here. But they are currently available on this website. A rough outline is:Chorus:
We really want to thank you, Lord.
We really want to bless your name.
Alleluia, Jesus is our King,
Alleluia, Jesus is our King.
1. We thank you Lord, for your gift to us,
Your life so rich, beyond compare,
The gift of your body, here on earth
Of which we sing and share.
2. We thank you, Lord, for our life together,
To live and move in the love of Christ,
Your tenderness which sets us free,
To serve you with our lives.
3. Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise him all creatures here, below,
Praise him above, you heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
