O Light of Light Love Given Birth

This hymn about light is based on a 10th century Latin hymn, "O Nata Lux de Lumine".   Based on Luke 9, it is particularly suitable for the feast of the Transfiguration.

It was translated by English artist, writer and social-justice activist, Laurence Housman (1865-1959), and first published in 1906.      These dates mean it is likely considered to be in the public domain in the USA, but still copyright in many other places.
