It was written by Canadian, Anglican children's book author and artist, and associate of the Sisters of St. John the Divine, Muriel E Newton-White (1928-2011) - ref and published in the first Catholic Book of Worship (Canada) in 1972. It is also in the 1980 edition o CBW, and GIA Publication's Worship III (but not Worship IV).
