All Ye Nations / All You Nations Sing Out Your Joy

This hymn, composed by French Spiritan priest Lucien Deiss (1921-2007), was first published by J S Paluch (the predecessor of World Library Publications) in Biblical Hymns and Psalms, Volume 1, 1965.

It is very closely based on the 1963 Grail translation of Psalm 66 (65), therefore the words are still copyright.

The tune is in 6/8 time, and is un-named.

Hymnals it is published in include:

A 2 and 3 part choral arrangement is still available form WLP.

A parish choir, with organ accompaniment:

A solo male cantor, with light organ-style backing

The words of this hymn are copyright, but a rough outline is shown below.  The published version has a chorus ,and five verses, each of which ends with the word "Alleluia"

All you nations, sing out your joy to the Lord:
Alleluia, Alleluia!

1 Joyfully shout, all you on earth,

2 Let all the earth kneel in God's sight ...

3 Come forth and see all the great works ...

4 Parting the seas, with might and power ...

5 Glory and thanks be to the Father;
