Lord of Life we Come to You (Lord of all / Through the days)

This is a short hymn of petition for healing and unity.

The words were written by Catherine Walker (b 1958).   Copyright is held by St Mungo Music of Glasgow, so she is presumably Scottish.

With meter 7.7.6.6, it is set to a Scots Gaelic folk tune ERISKAY LOVE LILT.  This is an adaptation from a Gaelic folk song GRĂ€DH GEAL MO CHRIDH which was collected from the singing of Mary MacInnes on the isle of Eriskay in the Outer Hebrides in 1909.

This tune was first published with the text by the compilers of the 1998 hymnal "Common Ground" .

It is not the same as Patrick Appleford's hymn The Quest, which starts "Lord of life you give us all our days" (ref).

Blue northern lights: Lord of life, we come to you Lord of all, our Saviour be; come to bless and to heal with the light of your love. 2 Through the days of doubt and toil, in our joy and in our pain, guide our steps in your way, make us one in your love
