Spirit Song (O Let the Son of God Enfold You)

This is a worship song asking for Jesus' presence.

It was written by American Quaker and later evangelical pastor, author and musician and founder of the Vineyard church, John Richard Wimber (1934-1997).

With meter 9.7.11 D, the tune, also by Wimber, was originally unnamed. However some publications have it listed as SPIRIT SONG.   It has a 4/4 time signature, and in the key of C, the first few notes are EFG A A A A AD_ with accompanying chords C / Fmaj7 / Dmin7

KEEP IN CASE ORIGINAL IS REMOVED, BUT DO NOT DISPLAY
O let the Son of God enfold you,
With his Spirit and his love.
Let him fill your heart and satisfy your soul.
O let him have the things that hold you.
And his Spirit like a dove,
Will descend upon your life and make you whole.

Refrain:

Jesus, O Jesus,
Come and fill your lambs. (x2)

O come and sing this song with gladness
as your hearts are filled with joy.
Lift your hands in sweet surrender to his name.
O give him all the tears and sadness,
give him all your years of pain,
and you’ll enter into life in Jesus’ name.
