Are not our Hearts Burning within Us

This is simple song for children, based on the story of the disciples walking with Jesus on the road to Emmaus.

It was written in the 1970s by American Roman Catholic liturgical musician, songwriter and at-the-time priest, Carey Landry (b 1944).

The song was originally released by North American Liturgy Resources, and was included on the first Glory and Praise compilation album released in 1980 (ref), and in volume 1 of Landry's "Hi God" series.  It was also included in More Songs of the Spirit - Songs and Hymns of the Renewal Volume 2, published by Kevin Mayhew Ltd in the UK in 1981.  However it does not appear on any of Landry's re-mastered CDs, and doesn't appear to have been published anywhere recently.

The song is set to an unnamed tune, also by Landry. This is a three-part round, with a 3/4 time signature. In the key of F, the first few notes are FFF A_ BAG A_F  with accompanying chords F / Bm / F
