Gonna Sing my Lord

This is a short worship-chorus style folk-song, giving praise to God.

It was one of the first compositions by American Roman Catholic performer and composer Joseph Edward (Joe) Wise (b. 1939).

Written in the 1960s, it was the title track of an LP recording which Wise released under his Fontaine House label in 1966, and which was distributed by the World Library of Sacred Music (a fore-runner of WLP Publications).

Sheet music for the collection was produced by World Library, and it is still available today new (link below) and second hand (Amazon link).

The song is set to an unnamed tune, also by Wise. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of Em, the first few notes are BB B A G_ B d d e B__ with accompanying chords B7 / Em / D / Em.
