Go Make a Difference

This is a hymn of commissioning, which is based on Matthew 5:13-16.  It was written for the final liturgy at the National Catholic Youth Conference in the USA in 1997 (ref), and published by Spirit & Song which was a division of OCP.

It was written by American Roman Catholic contemporary-style music-leaders and composers Tom Tomaszek and Steve Angrisano.

Although the text and message are appropriate for all age-groups, the music style and amount of repetition mean that the song is most likely to be appropriate with children and/or young teenagers.

It is set to an unnamed tune, also by Tomaszek and Angrisano. This has a 2/2 time signature. In the key of Dm, the first few notes are .A_ G FG A_ G F A G-F-D_ with accompanying chords Dm / Bb / C / Dm.
