Lyrics

Chorus:
See Saint Patrick's flame
Sing Saint Patrick's name.
Patrick's fire burns bright
Patrick brings the light
Into the night.

1  On the hill of Tara, King Laoghaire he looked out and saw in the dark of the night.
On the hill of Slane there was a brand new flame.
Burning bright into the night he saw a brand new light.

2  On the hill of Slane, St Patrick set a light to the people's first Easter fire
On the hill of Tara, King Laoghaire watched it burn,
Flames in the distance
Raise higher and higher.
