I Exalt Thee

This is a short worship song.

The words are based directly on Psalm 97:9 (KJV:  For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.)  These may be repeated in different combinations depending on the arrangement being used.

The song was written by American evangelical teacher, pastor, worship leader and songwriter, founder of Gabriel Music and later Vice President for Integrity Music and Dean of The Integrity Worship Institute, Pete Sanchez Jnr.   It was first released in 1977.  Since then it has been recorded by a number of artists, including Jesus Culture and Grace Larson.

It is set to an unnamed tune. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of G, the first few notes of the melody are A A A_ A _   A A AB A_
