Jehovah Jireh, My Provider

This is a short worship chorus about the Lord God as provider, inspired by Genesis 22:8-14.

It was written by Canadian evangelical singer-songwriter and musician Merla Watson, and first released in 1974 by Tempo Music Publications.

The song has been recorded by many artists including Don Moen, and is sometimes - incorrectly - attributed to him.

It is set to an unnamed tune, also by Watson. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of Dm, the first few notes of the melody are D D C D F_ G FG AA_ with accompanying chords Dm / Gm.

Jehovah Jireh My provider.
His grace is sufficient for me,
for me for me.
Jehovah Jireh My provider.
His grace is sufficient for me.

My God shall supply all my needs,
According to His riches and glory:
He will give His angels charge over me,
Jehovah Jireh cares for me, for me, for me
Jehovah Jireh cares for me.
