Kyrie Eleison (Empty broken here I stand) - Haigh

This is a hymn of confession, which intersperses phrases about repentance and conversion with the Greek liturgical phrase "Kyrie eleison / Christie  eleison / Kyrie eleison".

It was written by English Anglican vicar and previously professional musician and teacher  Nick and his wife, singer-songwriter Anita Haigh, who are companions of the Northumbria Community.  The song was written in 2000 and first released by Break of Day Music.

The only published version located so far is in Singing the Faith: Hymns Ancient & Modern for the Methodist Church, London, 2011.

It is set to an unnamed tune, also by the Haighs. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of Eb, the first few notes of the melody are G GG G E D E E EF G
