Lift up your Heads

This is short praise song, inviting people to gather in worship.  The words are based on Luke 21:28: "Stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near!"

It was written by American evangelical pastor, composer, and recording artist, Steven Fry (b 1954), in 1974.

It is set to an unnamed tune, also by Fry. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of G, the first few notes of the melody are G FG E_ FFGA D_ GGA B_  EEFG d_
