It includes 25 folk-genre religious songs, all in in English and written by American-based at-the-time Roman Catholic musicians.
The book does not have an ISBN, and the printed copy does not name the editor(s), designer or printer. There is no foreword or editor's introduction, but the opening page has a 1-page index of the songs, sorted by title. This notes that keyboard accompaniment and cassette recording are also available.
Each song is printed with at least melody line and guitar chords. Some also have a two-part arrangement, suggested speed and/or style indicated.
The book is still (as at mid-2025) available from GIA Publications (who purchased WLP): it is probable that only a limited number of copies are available, and there will be no further re-prints.
