You Are Strong, You Are Holy

This is a hymn of praise to God, about the call to discipleship.

It was written by United Church of Canada hymn-writer, minister and prison chaplain Sylvia G. Dunstan (1955-1993), and first published by in 1991.

With meter 8.6.8.7 with refrain, tunes it is set to include:

This jaunty American-Celtic style tune has a 2/2 time signature. In the key of Em, the first few notes of the chorus melody are EE c_ BA B A with accompanying chords Am / Em.
