The author and composer are unknown. It was included in a
hymn-leaflet produced for Irish youth in 2000. The
complexity of the sentences suggests that it may have been translated from
another language.

Chorus:May God grant us a spirit of wisdom and knowledge
May he open the eyes of our hearts.
May we know the hope he has called us to,
And the riches of his love.
For he chose us to be with him before the world was made;
He had destined us with love to the purpose of his will.
O the greatness of his power in us who believe;
May the fullness of his love be the fullness of our lives.
We are strangers no longer for we live now in Christ.
We are members of his house, we are temples of his love.
