Magnify and Glorify

This is a joyous hymn, glorifying God.

It is the finale in a cantata, Belshazzar's Feast (The Fall of Babylon) composed by pluralistic-Christian, American musician, songwriter and music-director, George Frederick Root (1820–1895).

It has been used as a stand-alone piece by various choirs:

There is a reference to it being sung by a Scottish choir at the start of a televised Christmas service in 2012 here,
This article says it was sung at a church-opening in 1969,
This 1882 newspaper article refers to an anthem using the first line.

More recently, YouTube shows it being sung by choirs in various parts of Africa and the Pacific.
