It is listed as copyright © 1970 New Song Music / Dawn Treader Music - however visitors to this blog have reported singing at in Sunday School during the 1960s.

It is set to a tune, also by Watanabe, called I WILL BLESS THEE. This has a 3/4 time signature. In the key of F, the first few notes are AA A G F A__
