It was written by American Roman Catholic Legion of Mary member, folk musician and
retailer, Bill Peffley, AKA William C. Peffley, Jr. (1929-2017 - ref), and included in an LP of his songs called "MARY SONGS" released by
Balance House in 1972 (ref).

The unnamed tune, also by Peffley, has a 3/4 time signature, and can be played using the chords C G.
Go tell the world about her joy.
God the creator was her little boy
And she'd lull him to sleep
With a song for him deep in her heart.
Go tell the world about Mary.
Go tell the world about her pain.
God the Redeemer was her young son slain
And his love she would keep
And would ponder it deep in her heart.
Go tell the world about Mary.
Go tell the world about her place
Mother of Christ in the whole human race,
And His life she will keep,
And will care for it deep in her heart.
