Do You Know that the Lord Walks on Earth?

This is a folk-style hymn about the person of Jesus Christ, and his presence in the world today

It was written by South African born, secular Franciscan singer/song-writer Sebastian Temple (1928-1997).

Hymn-books where it has been published in include:

• Book of Worship for United States Forces, U.S. Government Printing Office for the Armed Forces Chaplains Board, 1974
• 20th Centuruy Folk Hymnal Volume 1, Mayhew-McCrimmon, England, 1974.

No further publications have been found.

It is set to an unnamed tune, also by Temple. This has a 2/2 time signature. In the key of C, the first few notes of the melody are C E G_ GG A_ GF G_.
