This short worship chorus is about placing trust in God during times of personal difficulty and darkness. The words are based on Psalm 32:7 and Psalm 56: “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.” (ref)
It was written by American evangelical Christian singer Michael Ledner (b 1952) when he was 27 and in difficult circumstances, having separated from his wife.
The song was first released in 1981 by Maranatha! Music, and since then has been recorded by a number of artists in many different arrangements. It does not appear to have been included in many (any?) hymnals, but sheet music is widely available.
It is set to an unnamed tune, also by Ledner. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of Am, the first few notes of the melody are E A E G FF D G D F EE, with accompanying chords Am / Dm / G / G-B / C

The lyrics are copyright so cannot be reproduced here. But they are currently available on this website. A rough outline is:You are my hiding place;
You always fill my heart with songs of deliverance,
whenever I am afraid…
I will trust in You.
I will trust in You.
Let the weak say I am strong
in the strength of the Lord.
