Jesus’ Hands Were Kind Hands

This is a gentle hymn for children, about Jesus' kindness and miracle-working.

It was written by English Quaker poet, playwright and author, Margaret Beatrice Cropper (1886–1980) in 1926.

With meter 11.11.11.11, it is set to AU CLAIR DE LA LUNE, a traditional French tune.

Lyrics

The lyrics are copyright so cannot be reproduced here. But they are currently available on this website. A rough outline is:
1  Jesus' hands were kind hands, doing good to all ....

2  Take my hands, Lord Jesus, let them work for you ...

KEEP IN CASE ORIGINAL IS REMOVED, BUT DO NOT DISPLAY
Jesus' hands were kind hands, doing good to all,
healing pain and sickness, blessing children small,
washing tired feet and saving those who fall;
Jesus' hands were kind hands, doing good to all.

Take my hands, Lord Jesus, let them work for you;
make them strong and gentle, kind in all I do;
let me watch you, Jesus, till I'm gentle too,
till my hands are kind hands, quick to work for you.
