Open our Eyes Lord (we want to see Jesus)

This is a short worship chorus, asking for God's assistance to see and know the real Jesus.

It was written by American evangelical musician and pastor, Robert Marcus (Bob) Cull (1949-?), in 1975, in Hawaii, just before giving a solo concert at a school. It was first published in 1975 by Maranatha! Music.

It is set to a tune by Cull, which is sometimes called OPEN OUR EYES. This has a 3/4 time signature. In the key of Y, the first few notes of the melody are FG A A_ G EE F G_ F_ with accompanying chords D / G2 / G / Em7 / A7 / G / D.
