It was written by Northern Irish Presbyterian-raised / American immigrant, evangelical singer-songwriter and musician, Paul Kyle (https://www.paulkyle.org).
The song as first published in 1980 by Kingsway's Thankyou Music in England, and the original title was "Lord Jesus we Enthrone You". It became more widely known when it was covered by American Christin singer-songwriter and performing artist, Don Moen (b. 1950) - and the song is sometimes, incorrectly, attributed to him.
Other books where it has been published include:
- Scripture in Song, Volume II, Songs of the Kingdom - Scripture in Song, New Zealand, 1981
- Complete Mission Praise, Marshall Pickering, London, 1999.
It is set to an unnamed tune, also by Kyle. This has a 4/4 time signature. In the key of A, the first few notes of the melody are A A_ A A A-F_ F F F_ GA_ E___ with accompanying chords A / F#m / D / A.

Lyrics
(Lord) Jesus, we enthrone You,We proclaim You our King.
Standing here, in the midst of us,
We raise You up with our praise.
And as we worship, build Your throne,
And as we worship, build Your throne,
And as we worship, build Your throne,
Come Lord Jesus and take Your place.
